About Us
We believe everyone, no matter what their background is, should have a chance to learn an instrument. That's why we often donate instruments and other gear to worthy music causes.
In 1999 I graduated from Mass Comm (now the New England Institute of Art) in Boston, MA with a degree in Recording Arts. After an internship at a MDI Productions I decided to further my education. I headed south to Orlando, FL and graduated with yet another degree in Recording Arts, this time at the world renowned Full Sail University. After graduation, I worked at a studio at Disney World for the next couple years. All the while I was teaching private guitar lessons as I have been doing since I was 15...yep 15!
I have been in several bands over the past 2 decades, some just high school bands for fun, others opening for acts like Avril Lavigne, Butch Walker and Sister Hazel. My most recent band was www.OnTracyLane.com check them out! (I had to part ways when I moved back to MA)
In 2013, after being frustrated with customer service from online and local pedal shops I decided to open my own Pedal store. I decided I would specialize in JUST pedals and accessories. The frustration I experienced before opening my store started a long time ago. Every band I am ever in needs to have a certain sound and tone to the guitars...The big box stores have no employees with knowledge on the pedals and they seemed to stock plenty of guitars, amps, drums etc etc but only a couple dozen pedals...and the local boutique shops seemed to look at you funny if you tried something and didn't like it....trying to find quality service, and in stock boutique pedals from local or online stores was harder than it should have been. So the right opportunity presented itself and with the support of quality vendors and customers alike, I opened Guitar Pedal Shoppe in 2013. My staff and I have come a long way since starting out, we keep gaining customers from all over the world and adding new lines of pedals to meet our customers needs. We later outgrew our shop in O'Fallon, MO and dedided take take a leap across the country and move the store to Plymouth, MA! Our shop it South Plymouth served us well until the Summer of 2016 when we again outgrew our space. We then moved into historic Downtown Plymouth where we stayed 1 year....and yet AGAIN we continued to outgrow our space! This time on June 1 2017 we purchased and moved into The Music Box a few doors down from our old location. This allowed 2 stores under one roof, one focusing on pedals and one focusiing on guitars, amps and repairs. Just about a month after we purchased The Music Box, we purchased the recording studio next door below The Spire Center. Soaring Sound Studios completes the musical trifecta in our little corner of town and we could not be more proud of what you have helped us build! In February 2022 be purchased Music Unlimited in Kingston, MA. MU was founded in 1975 and has been a staple in the South Shore MA music scene ever since. I actually purchased my first guitar at MU in 1992. We've grown because we offer competitive prices, we carefully select our products, doing the homework for you and bringing you the best gear available! We offer service just like they did in the 50's, when people actually cared about you!
