Source Audio Ventris Dual Reverb

The Ventris Dual Reverb is a multi-effect reverb pedal with over 20 meticulously crafted reverb engines, dual signal processors, full MIDI functionality, stereo inputs and outputs, external expression capabilities, and advanced effects editing options via the Neuro Desktop and Mobile App Editors. The pedal features an exceptional collection of rich, spacious tones, including strikingly realistic analog reverbs like Spring and Plate, beautifully natural replications of large and small acoustic spaces, and an intriguing and highly musical selection of haunting unnatural tones including Reverse, Swell and Shimmer.

The Ventris features two completely independent reverb processors, essentially housing a matching pair of high-powered reverb pedals in a single box. The Ventris’s dual reverb platform gives the pedal massive processing power as well as some additional features like unlimited Preset Spillover and the ability to combine two reverb effects in either series or parallel.

One Series Ventris Dual Reverb Features & Specifications

• Over 20 Reverb Engines — The Ventris features 12 onboard reverb engines accessible via the center selector, plus additional engines downloadable with the Neuro Mobile App and Desktop Editor. Select from strikingly realistic spring and plate reverb effects, natural sounding room sounds, and a beautiful interpretation of 80s Lexicon rack gear. The pedal also features a collection of haunting unnatural reverb sounds including the pitch shifting Shimmer engine, an eerie Reverse effect, a sweet tremolo/reverb hybrid, and the retro-futuristic of Offspring.

ROOM: Captures the ambient reverberations of a moderately sized, natural acoustic space. This reverb’s warm and intimate vibe is the perfect option for summoning subtle hints of space.

HALL L: Patterned after the lush sounds of powerful Lexicon rack units from the 80s and 90s. The Hall L reverb is distinguished by its glorious blooming characteristic combined with a highly diffuse trail.

E-DOME: The cavernous E-DOME (a.k.a. “Enormo-Dome”) produces long, lush reverb trails that linger for days. Invoke the sound of massive arena settings with the Ventris Reverb’s largest room simulation. This one is huuuuge.

TRUE SPRING: Source Audio’s Chief Scientist, Bob Chidlaw, worked long and hard to perfectly capture the sweet idiosyncrasies of a vintage spring reverb tank. The result is an exceptionally realistic effect with the unmistakable “drip” heard in vintage spring reverb equipped amplifiers.

PLATE: A meticulously crafted simulation the highly diffuse reverb synonymous with vintage plate reverb units. Basically it replicates the sound created by blasting audio into the face of a large plate of suspended sheet metal.

LO-FI: This reverb effect turns the lush and grandiose effect of reverb on its head and embraces destructive elements like distortion, oversaturation and even sample rate reduction. Turn up the ugly and add a crashing wave of mutilation to your sound.

MODVERB: This modulating effect is an ambient combination of reverb and tremolo. Apply varying degrees of tremolo to your dry signal, your wet signal, or both.

SHIMMER: Summon a vast range of beautiful or sinister reflections with this dual pitch shifting reverb engine. Choose from a variety of popular pitch intervals with the Ventris Reverb”s onboard controls or dive into the Neuro Editor and select any pitch combination that meets your need.

SWELL: Conjure lush reverb pads with this dramatic volume swell effect. For highly ambient reverb swells, try setting your MIX knob to 100% wet.

OFFSPRING: Patterned after an effect known as “Laserverb” from Kurtzwiel rack units of the 1980s, this unique sound falls somewhere between an angel’s harp and a retro-futuristic sci-fi flick. Call it what you want, it’s an amazing and thoroughly unique effect that could not be left off the pedal.

REVERSE: Create chilling and dramatic backmasking effects with this haunting reverb engine. Set the MIX knob to 100% wet for a menacing sound surge or mix it with the dry signal for an unnerving shadow effect.

• Dual Signal Processing — The pedal includes two identical 56-bit signal processors for massive processing power, essentially housing a matching pair of high-powered reverb pedals in a single box. • Dual Reverb Effects — Save two individual reverb effects per preset (on for each signal processor). Use the A/B toggle switch to select reverb A, B or A+B (a combination of the two) or use the Option footswitch to quickly toggle between the two reverbs.

• 128 User Presets — Save up to 8 presets recallable via the pedal’s onboard controls plus an additional 120 presets accessible via MIDI program change (PC) messages.

• Stereo Input and Output jacks – Choose from mono, stereo, dual mono, external loops, and many other alternate signal routes.

• Programmable Footswitch — Assign the Option footswitch to perform a number of possible functions. Control Options include tap tempo assigned to Pre-Delay or modulation time, reverb Hold (aka “freeze”), and A/B reverb toggling.

• Preset Spillover – Change from one preset to another without abruptly cutting the reverb trail of the former preset.

• Universal Bypass — Select either analog buffered or relay based true bypass.

• Analog Dry Through — For most engines the dry signal is routed around the signal processor for a completely unaffected dry tone.

• Complete MIDI Functionality — Access the Ventris’s MIDI functionality via the Neuro Hub, the pedal’s 5-Pin MIDI DIN input (w/ MIDI thru), or its USB port.

• Neuro Mobile App. (for iOS or Android) and Desktop Editor (for Mac and Windows) — Create highly customized presets with the Neuro Editor’s extended set of adjustable parameters and additional reverb engines. Save presets in a personal preset library, share them with other Ventris owners, or burn them directly to the pedal.

• Expression Control — Assign expression control to any combination of knobs and program the depth and direction of each. Compatible with all Source Audio expression pedals, Hot Hand 3, as well as 3rd party expression pedals.

• Brushed anodized aluminum housing — Dimensions: L: 4.5 in./11.4cm x W: 4.5 in./11.4cm x H: 2 in./5.1cm (including knobs) Weight: 1 lb./0.45 kg.

• Includes 9v DC power supply — 300mA / Negative tip / Pedal draws 280mA.
